Kinetic Browser

Kinetik Browser is a remote web browser client and highly available cloud microservices backend designed to deliver a seamless, secure, and synchronized browsing experience across desktop, mobile, and web platforms. The frontend is built as a responsive Next.js application, packaged into a desktop client using Electron and a mobile application container using Android WebView. The backend features a modular microservices architecture that handles user authentication, federated search queries, telemetry logging, and real-time database synchronization via high-performance internal gRPC protocols. At its core, the system utilizes an event-driven streaming pipeline powered by Apache Kafka to synchronize transient browser states such as bookmarks and active tabs across devices, resolving data conflicts through vector clock algorithms. Security and privacy are enforced at the edge through web application firewalls, local Redis-backed token bucket rate limiting, and an integrated ad and tracker blocking engine. The platform is designed for cloud-native scalability, deploying automatically via infrastructure-as-code scripts to containerized clusters with automated load balancing, edge caching, and centralized monitoring dashboards.
